The Fabulous and Mystical Isle of CAPRI!

Oh. My. Goodness.

This is one of my favorite places EVER! I mean just lookit!

The views, the food, the water and sky...the shopping...;) it was all incredible. I wished we had more than one day! Didn't I wish that about everywhere we went? But really. I could have spent such a long time here. Even though there were so many people everywhere, somehow it still seemed quiet and peaceful. Something about sheer cliffs and blue water just gets me.

We rented a Vespa and explored the island. We found this little swimming spot and just jumped in with our clothes on, because it was so wicked hot (AND we had been at Pompeii earlier in the day, but really, who wants to see pictures of a bunch of old ruins anyway? haha) Jason told Wesley that I jumped off that rock platform and he could hardly believe I was so brave. Note to self...let kids get to know me better!

Ahhh, ROME!

So, while in Florence we thought to ourselves, why waste two hours each way getting from the port to Florence, then back to port, then to Rome the next day, when you could skip the boat and go straight two hours to Rome and spend the night? So that's exactly what we did!

I LOVED Rome. This was really our best night of the whole trip. We wandered around through the ruins, had an amazing dinner right by the Trevi Fountain...the next day Jason was not feeling well so we made do with a bus tour around the city. So amazing. I really want to go back and spend more time. There is so much history and everything is just so beautiful! I want this apartment.

Florence, ITALY!

Welcome to Florence! It was HOT, HOT, HOT in Florence but we walked about a thousand miles anyway. With a gelato stop of course.

So many gorgeous buildings and of course flowers everywhere, and the FOOD! Why do I take pictures of food everywhere we go? haha We went to the Bargello museum and saw Michaelangelo's original works. Amazing. Crossed the Ponte Vecchio and mainly just explored. I wish I had a couple more days there to learn more about what I was seeing.
